Mary Alice League was born and raised in Rocky Mount, NC.  A born tom boy - she was a YMCA National Swimmer, 16 High school letter athlete including cross country, swimming, softball, and golf.  Mary is also a girly girl with a heart for beautiful things and a love for fashion. She still holds the crown for 1990 Miss Rocky Mount Sunburst USA - even if she was the only competitor.

Mary attended NC State University where she earned a BS in Accounting and BS in Business Administration - Finance.  She joined Ernst & Young LLC after graduation and later joined Etix as Accounting Manager.  Mary is a die-hard NC State fan with a soft spot for Carolina Tarheels (it’s complicated) and has completed a full marathon and half ironman.

Mary loves living in downtown Raleigh, NC where on most mornings you can find her sitting outside- with a cup of black coffee and Bible in hand.  She listens to anything Matt Redman and never misses an episode of Law and Order.  Mary leads chapel at Raleigh Rescue Mission and loves being a part of what Jesus is doing there.

Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior during a broken marriage and was determined to follow His will for her life.  She was tired of doing everything on her own, striving and keeping God in a Sunday morning box.  As she began to sit with God during her quiet time - she developed a thriving relationship that would ultimately change her.  God set her heart on fire for what matters most in life!

Mary has a passion for people.  A sweet heart for listening, helping and encouraging others - right where they are in life.  God recently called her out of accounting to pursue her passion of loving others.  She has dealt with extreme insecurities, self-doubt, and low self-esteem, but after developing an intimate relationship with Christ she began to change from the inside out.  Believing who she was in Christ and God’s word.  Now, she wants to help other women do the same and live the life they were born to live!

She recently created The Journal of Intentional Living out of her own need.  As she began to spend more time with God she noticed her own chaos.  She brought so many notebooks, journals, books, pictures, scriptures, church bulletins, printouts to her quiet time that she bounced all over the place.  This Journal is a tool to help organize your quiet time with God.  “As women we have such demanding lives and are such busy people.  It’s hard enough to find time to spend with God.  This Journal helps make that special time more effective and efficient.  It is a place to keep all your God moments, convictions, and thoughts in one place.”

Her relationship with God continues to be number one in her life.  “My relationship with God is the only perfect fulfillment for my heart with a love that has no gaps.  I want to encourage others with their own quiet time, strengthening their relationship with God, and living intentionally every single day.”
